FAQ

How long does it take for my print to arrive?

My Giclée prints are printed to order so please be aware that I currently make a print run twice a month. I post those dates on my website banner so you know when to expect your prints. It’s usually 10 days from my print run to delivery. I sent the prints via first class Royal Mail.

The other items in my shop such as cards, postcards and the miniature books are sent in a post run I make once a week. You will receive a despatch notice when it’s on the way to you. If you have any queries do send me an email. Should you have an urgent delivery request please contact me and I will my best to help depending on the situation and location.

What is a limited edition Giclée print?

Giclée is a French term meaning “to spray”, referring to how an inkjet printer works and how giclee prints are usually produced. These large format inkjet printers use small spraying devices that can both match color and apply pigment-based ink precisely, to give a high-quality and long-lasting print. My Giclée prints come in limited editions of 50 or 100. Each print is signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

What paper do I use for my prints?

I use Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308gsm for limited edition prints as I love its lightly textured surface which enhances the natural aspect of my artworks. It shows off the range of colours exceptionally well and captures all the detail. I use Somerset Velvet 255gsm for open edition prints which has grainy surface which takes colour very well.
